We had a wonderful stay at On The Cliff Guest House. The location was amazing, with a first-floor sea view balcony where we could watch whales and relax. The staff was friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived, making us feel welcome and ensuring all our needs were met. The room was well laid out and facing the sea. The breakfast was delicious and the overall quality of food was excellent. We have already stayed here once before and would choose On The Cliff again if we return to Hermanus.

Although we only stayed for one night, we found our stay to be comfortable & relaxing. The staff were welcoming, warm & very hospitable. I liked the fact that or location was a little outside of the town which lent it an air of being in the 'country'. I would rate the guest house, its amenities and staff better than some hotels. We really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent, very comfortable accommodation. Charming and attentative hosts, fantastic sea views ideal for whale watching. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this guest house and would definitely return.

The penthouse suite offers breathtaking ocean views from balcony and breakfast table. Whales can be spotted from there too. Honesty bar provides evening wine. It takes a pleasant 15-20 minute walk along cliff walk to reach town center.

I had always wanted to visit the Hermanus Cliff Path and chose On The Cliff Guest House for its convenient location. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the additional amenities offered at the guesthouse. The 2 wingback chairs facing the ocean with foot stools in the lounge were a delightful spot to relax and take in the breathtaking views.

Everything was exceptional. Only surprise was "load shedding hours".

The position of the guesthouse, the attention to detail given by the owners and their desire to do everything they could to ensure we had a good holiday, the quality of the breakfast, all were excellent

The lounge, with two wingback chairs facing the ocean and each with a footstool, was the perfect spot to unwind and watch the sunset with a drink in hand. It felt like having front row seats to nature's own theater.

The moment I stepped foot into On The Cliff Guest House, I was captivated by its charming and homely atmosphere. The beautiful sea-facing rooms allowed me to wake up to the breathtaking view of the ocean and the soothing sound of the waves. The spacious rooms were tastefully decorated, and I especially loved the cozy wingback chairs that faced the ocean, perfect for relaxing with a book and a cup of tea. What truly made my stay comfortable was the thoughtful amenities provided, including a bar fridge and a kettle within easy reach.

If I had one small suggestion for improvement, it would be to inform guests about any scheduled power outages, such as the "load shedding hours. " As seniors, we value a good night's sleep, and being taken by surprise when the power went out in the middle of the night was a bit unsettling.

our stay at "On the Cliff Guest House" in hermanus was even better than expected. the modern facilities, comfortable bed, and fabulous water views from our room made our wedding ceremony unforgettable. the friendly and knowledgeable staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay.

Host a bit too chatty, particularly at breakfast when she sat in the dining room with the guests talking quite loudly. Dining room a bit crowded, why not extend to the covered area outside. Breakfast a bit basic. Price a bit high.

The room at On the Cliff Guest House was so cozy and inviting. I loved the comfortable king-size bed and the ottoman at the foot of it. There was also a single chair that was perfect for sitting and reading. The premium bedding made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud, and the free WiFi was a great bonus. I felt right at home in this room.

There was no bathtub in the room, just a large walk-in shower. But hey, that's just my personal preference.

The guest house's location was ideal, as it was within walking distance to the town center, making it easy for our family to explore and enjoy the local shops and restaurants. We highly recommend this guest house for a memorable family vacation.

For dads, it would be great to have a designated play area for children.

I had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The location is fantastic, situated close to restaurants and shops and in a beautiful quiet area. The hotel is right on the cliff path which is a lovely stroll or run for 11 km along the cliffs, providing stunning views of the sea. Additionally, it is easy to access transportation from this hotel. The breakfast was delicious, offering a buffet and a list of options to choose from the kitchen. Furthermore, the staff was very friendly and attentive, ensuring my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
